The Turl is an arts magazine that works to capture the creative scene within Oxford University's most central colleges: Jesus, Exeter, and Lincoln. It began publication in 2018 as the Jesus College Arts Magazine, expanding in 2020 to the other 'Turl Street' colleges.
Over recent years, The Turl has become a place of creative expression for students, and in turn, a thought-provoking space for readers. It is during the iconic 'Turl Street Arts Festival' in Hilary Term, that the magazine migrates beyond its paper publication, connecting with many through a series of arts events.
This magazine features creative writing, poetry, artwork, articles, and reviews. The Turl welcomes submissions for our termly print issue, which is then posted on our website.
We hope you enjoy reading!
Yours sincerely,
The Turl team
