The Turl is an arts magazine that works to capture the creative scene within Oxford University's most central colleges: Jesus, Exeter, and Lincoln. It began publication in 2018 as the Jesus College Arts Magazine, expanding in 2020 to the other 'Turl Street' colleges and publishing under The Turl. After a brief hiatus in 2023, it relaunched in 2024.
Since Hilary term of 2024, The Turl has been publishing one issue per term, each produced by a pair of editors-in-chief and the team they put together. Between theme reveal at the beginning of the term, to the issue launch party at the end, The Turl also runs a number of other events focusing on creating and enjoying art.
The magazine features all sorts of art: visual, including photography, written, and even non-fiction pieces like reviews and interviews. Anything goes!
We hope you enjoy reading!
